- Of God (Bibliology and Theology)
- The Word of God: We believe in the Bible as the word inspired by the Holy Spirit in a verbal and plenary form in its original manuscripts (2 Pet 1:21; 2 Tim 3:16; Mt 5:18). It is inerrant and infallible from the Old Testament to the New Testament, constituting our final and supreme authority in faith and conduct for personal life (Ps 19:7; Eph 2:20; Ps 119:105).
- The Triune God: We believe in the only true, living, holy, immutable, and eternally essential God, who is Spirit, Person, and Triune (Deut 6:4; 1 Cor 8:4; Jer 10:10; Jn 17:3; Jn 4:24; 2 Cor 3:17; Eph 1:11; Gen 6:6; Mt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14; Ps 42:2; Isa 6:3; 1 Pet 1:16; Mal 3:6; Jas 1:17; Ps 90:2; Mic 5:2; Heb 13:8; 1 Tim 1:17). He is sovereign, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient; He transcends His creation, reveals Himself personally, and is perfect in all His attributes, relating to men in the fullness of His love (Ps 103:19; Dan 4:35; Gen 17:1; Rev 19:6; Jer 23:24; 1 Ki 8:27; Isa 66:1; Gal 4:9; Jas 1:5; Ps 147:5; Heb 4:13; Deut 32:4; 2 Sam 22:31; Jas 4:8; Jer 31:3; 1 Jn 4:16; Eph 3:19).
2. Of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit (Christology and Pneumatology)
- Jesus Christ the Son: We believe in Jesus Christ, a preexistent deity with all the attributes of God, who became human without sin (Jn 1:1; Col 2:9; Jn 8:58; Jn 17:5; Heb 1:3; Rev 1:8; Jn 1:14; Gal 4:4; Heb 4:15; 1 Pet 2:22). He is the only Savior, who accomplished a propitiatory death and literally rose again (Acts 4:12; Jn 14:6; 1 Jn 2:2; Rom 3:25; Lk 24:39; 1 Cor 15:4). He ascended to intercede for us and today is the head of the church (Acts 1:9; Heb 7:25; Eph 1:22; Col 1:18).
- The Holy Spirit: We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, who possesses all divine attributes(Acts 5:3-4; 1 Cor 2:11; 1 Cor 12:11; Eph 4:30; 1 Cor 2:10; Job 33:4). He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (Jn 16:8-11); and we believe that through regeneration, He baptizes, indwells, seals, and grants gifts to the believer (Tit 3:5; Jn 3:5; 1 Cor 12:13; Mt 3:11; 1 Cor 6:19; Jn 14:17; Eph 1:13; Eph 4:30; 1 Cor 12:4; Heb 2:4). As Comforter, He guides, teaches, and intercedes for us, with the purpose of glorifying the Son (Jn 14:26; Rom 8:26; Jn 16:14; Jn 15:26).
3. Of Man and Sin (Anthropology and Hamartiology)
- The Creation and Fall of Man: We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, originally innocent, but fell through the sin of Adam (Gen 5:1; Ps 100:3; Gen 1:27; Gen 9:6; Eccl 7:29; Gen 1:31; Rom 5:12; Rom 5:19). Man is born with a sinful nature, condemned, guilty, inexcusably separated from God, and dead spiritually and physically (Ps 51:5; Eph 2:3; Rom 5:18; Jn 3:18; Rom 3:19; Jas 2:10; Rom 1:20; Rom 2:1; Isa 59:2; Eph 2:12; Eph 2:1; Heb 9:27). He is incapable of remedying his state and has an eternal soul destined for eternal punishment (Jer 13:23; Rom 3:20; Mt 10:28; Gen 2:7; Mt 25:46; 2 Thess 1:9).
- The Nature of Sin: We believe that sin goes against the character of God (Hab 1:13; 1 Jn 3:4). It originated in the universe through Satan, in humanity through Adam, and in the individual through inheritance and personal actions(Ezek 28:15; 1 Jn 3:8; Rom 5:12; 1 Cor 15:22; Ps 51:5; Job 14:4; Jas 1:15; Jas 4:17). Its nature corrupts our actions, thoughts, and essence (Rom 3:23; 1 Jn 5:17; Mt 15:19; Col 3:5; Gen 6:5; Prov 24:9; Rom 8:7; Gal 5:17). Man is born and lives in sin, facing physical, spiritual, and eternal death (Ps 58:3; Jn 3:6; Eph 2:1; 1 Jn 3:6; Gen 3:19; Heb 9:27; Isa 59:2; Col 2:13; Rev 20:14; 2 Thess 1:9).
4. Of Salvation and the Church (Soteriology and Ecclesiology)
- Salvation by Grace: We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, not of works, obtained by personally receiving Christ as the only way to heaven (Eph 2:8; Eph 2:5; Gal 2:16; Rom 5:1; Eph 2:9; Tit 3:5; Jn 1:12; Rev 3:20; Jn 14:6; Acts 4:12). Through this complete redemptive work, we receive regeneration, justification, the Holy Spirit, sanctification, adoption, union with Christ, spiritual privileges, membership in the church, and glorification through a secure salvation (Tit 3:5; 2 Cor 5:17; Rom 5:1; Rom 3:24; 1 Cor 6:19; Eph 1:13; Heb 10:14; Jn 19:30; 1 Thess 4:3; 1 Pet 1:2; Gal 4:5; Rom 8:15; Gal 2:20; Eph 1:3; 1 Pet 2:9; Acts 2:47; 1 Cor 12:13; Rom 8:30; Phil 3:21; Jn 10:28; Phil 1:6).
- The Church: We believe that the church was born at Pentecost and is the body and bride of Christ (Acts 2:1-4; Acts 11:15; 1 Cor 12:27; Eph 1:22-23; 2 Cor 11:2; Eph 5:31-32). It is both universal and local, formed by New Testament believers (Eph 4:4; Heb 12:23; Gal 1:2; 1 Cor 1:2; Acts 2:41; Eph 2:20). Called to love, holiness, and good works, it must evangelize, disciple, and establish leaders (Jn 13:34; 1 Jn 4:11; 1 Pet 1:15; Eph 5:27; Eph 2:10; Tit 2:14; Acts 8:4; Rom 10:15; Mt 28:19; 2 Tim 2:2; Tit 1:5; Acts 14:23). It is necessary to attend and to fulfill the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper (Heb 10:25; Ps 122:1; Mt 28:19; Acts 8:38; 1 Cor 11:24-25; Lck 22:19).
5. Of Spiritual Beings and Last Things (Angelology and Eschatology)
- Angels and the Enemy: We believe in angels, created spiritual beings who are powerful but not omnipotent (Heb 1:14; Ps 104:4; Ps 148:2, 5; Col 1:16; Ps 103:20; 2 Pet 2:11). The unfallen ones are ministers of God (Mt 22:30; Ps 103:21). The fallen ones are demons led by Satan—a malignant deceiver, father of lies, and enemy of the saints (Mt 12:24; Lk 8:30; Mt 9:34; Mk 3:22; Jn 8:44; Rev 12:9; Mt 13:39; 1 Pet 5:8). Although defeated, we must resist them with spiritual weapons prior to their final destiny in the lake of fire (Col 2:15; Jn 16:11; Eph 6:11; Jas 4:7; Mt 25:41; Rev 20:10).
- The Final Events: We believe in the pretribulation rapture of the church with respect to the millennium (1 Thess 4:17; 1 Cor 15:52; 1 Thess 5:9; Rev 3:10). Following the tribulation and the Judgment Seat of Christ, the second coming of Christ will occur to establish His literal Millennial kingdom (Mt 24:21; Jer 30:7; 2 Cor 5:10; Rom 14:10; Rev 19:11; Zech 14:4; Rev 20:4; Isa 11:6). Continuing with the resurrection of the wicked and the Great White Throne Judgment, the redeemed will delight eternally in His presence and unbelievers will face eternal torment (Jn 5:29; Acts 24:15; Rev 20:11-12; Rev 21:4; Ps 16:11; Rev 20:15; Mt 25:41).
